Cultural activities are an integral part of school activities throughout the year. Hidden talents in music, dance and dramatics in children were spotted and encouraged to bloom.

Founder's Day - 30 July 05

Every year, 30th of July is celebrated as 'Founder's Day', the birth anniversary of our beloved founder Miss Robinson. Lovely programs of song, dance and drama are put up by our children right from Nursery to Standard 7. This year the programme was held at the Kuvempu Kalakshetra, commencing at 6 p.m. The auditorium was packed to capacity with parents, special invitees, old students and other well wishers of the school.

This being the Platinum Jubilee year, the special invitees included old students Mrs. Shakuntala of the 1931 batch, Mrs. Nalini Rajanna and Mr. A.R. Khaleed. Chairman of the Managing Committee, Mr. Vasant Kumar was also present on the dias.

The 'Best Scholar' Trophy for the year 2004-05 for classes 1 to 7 were presented to the respective students. Their parents were also felicitated.

After our students singing the school song, a variety programme was put up, with 262 students participating. Colorful costumes, toe tapping music, graceful dances, entertaining plays and most of all, the confidence and talent of our children kept the audience captivated. It comprised of

2. 'Who is Important' by standard 1 in which the children presented a garden full of trees, flowers, shade and butterflies.

3. 'Pretty Maid' by standard 2

4. Gaalipata Dance in Kannada by standards 2 and 3

5. Radha Krishna Dance in Hindi by standard 3

6. 'Beggar Maid' by standard 2

7. Orchestra by standards 5, 6 and 7

8. Deepa Dance in Kannada by standards 4, 5 and 6

9. Koravanji, Folk Dance of Tamil Nadu by standard 4

10. 'Topsy in Trouble', an adaptation from Uncle Tom's cabin by standards 5 and 6

11. Tagore's 'Dance of the Boatman' in Bengali by standards 4 and 5

12. Hindi play, 'Mathru Bhasha Ki Pehchan by standards 5, 6 and 7

13. Western dance by standards 4 and 5

14. Hawaii dance by the girls of standards 6 and 7

15. English play 'Cobbler turned Doctor' by standards 6 and 7

16. Bhangra dance by standards 6 and 7

17. Kannada play 'Yaaru Sukhi' by standards 6 and 7

18. Nepalese dance by standard 7

19. Rajasthani dance by standards 5, 6 and 7
